COACHES
Coach Drew Stevenson, COSMO Founder & Head Coach, has 20 years of head coaching and program administration experience and is currently a Physical Education instructor at Lewis Palmer Middle School. Prior to moving to Colorado he was an NCAA Division III and NAIA/MCLA Head Coach, founded his own youth lacrosse program in Chicago and has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2006. Coach Ben Holstein Coach Holstein grew up in Upstate NY, where he played five years of close defense and long-stick midfield for the Manlius Pebble Hill (MPH) school varsity program. Later he played three years of club lacrosse at Syracuse University, was an assistant coach at MPH and several other youth lacrosse leagues. Following a commission in the Air Force, Coach Holstein was stationed at Ft. Meade, outside of Baltimore, MD, where he was an assistant coach for both JV and Varsity lacrosse teams for Ft. Meade High School. Coach Holstein also coaches with the local Youth Rangers program.
Coach Ryan Eells, is a former Captain and 3-year starter for Lewis-Palmer High School lacrosse. Coach Eells played LSM/Defense and works mainly with our Club Teams. He has been an outstanding coach for our youth in Monument/COS for a few seasons now. Currently, Coach Ryan attend Catholic University of America (Washington, DC) and is in the ROTC program.
Coach Danny Bellissimo, is a former goalie for the United States Air Force Academy. A native of Glen Cove, NY, Coach Danny brings many years experience and focuses working with our goalies. Additionally, Coach Danny coaches his son with the local youth Rangers program.
Coach Sydney Shin, plays for Palmer Ridge Bears and the Bolts travel team locally. Coach Syd works mainly with our Try Lax for Free and Lightning Lax program introducing and coaching our young girls players.
Coach Sean Eells, currently plays for Lewis Palmer High School and is a member of Team 91 Colorado (and National). Coach Sean has attended Maverick Showtime and was named an Inside Lacrosse All-Star in 2022. Coach Sean has many years experience having grown up with older brothers who have played lacrosse (Kevin, Ryan). He focuses on working with our midfielders and faceoff club team members.
Coach Blane Vrana, currently plays for Lewis Palmer High School and has played lacrosse since he was 6 years old. Coach Blane rose through the "COSMO" summer programs as a player and now returns to assist coaching our younger players. A FOGO (Face Off, Get Off) specialist he also spends time running midfield. He also plays for the Bolts Lacrosse Club.
