Coach Stevenson has nearly 25 years of head coaching and program administration experience and now operates COSMO CHAOS Lacrosse Club and coaches with Bolts Lacrosse Club (USAFA). During his time launching CCLC he was a Middle and High School Physical Education instructor at Lewis-Palmer Middle School and Monument Academy. Prior to moving to Colorado he was an NCAA Division III and NAIA/MCLA Head Coach, founded his own youth lacrosse program in Chicago and has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2006 and USA Weight Lifting Level 1 certified since 2018.
Stevenson has coached more than 75 collegiate and high school all conference players, lead Saint Ignatius College Prep (IL) to the 2009 Class B State Title, and regularly works with all ages and skill levels of lacrosse players.
As a long time lacrosse and strength coach, some of the best players he has seen play the game have been multi-sport athletes. With lacrosse encompassing so many tactical and technical skills included in other sports, he believes that youth through high school players are best served experiencing multiple sports. Equally important as playing multiple sports he stresses physical literacy through strength and conditioning allowing athletes to better understand what they can do to help themselves be their best.
Additionally, Stevenson is the Owner and Head Strength Coach for LRN 2 Move.
Stevenson is originally from Upstate New York, having attended Lafayette High School (Lafayette, NY) and later went on to play Division III lacrosse at Roanoke College (Salem, VA).
Lafayette HS is regarded as one of the best high school programs in the country, having produced players and coaches, including Lars Tiffany (Head Coach, UVA), the Thompson Brothers (Lyle, Jeremy, Jerome, and Miles), the Powless Brothers (Barry, Brad, and Neal), and many, many more!
